The theoretical and methodological basis of Eastern Suggestopedia contains unique emergent-materialistic views based on many thousands of years of empirical experience of the ancients. Western Suggestopedia is rather conventionally based on dialectical laws, mystified and theologised interpretations and motifs prevail in it. Eastern Suggestopedia is based on clear patterns of influence of the physical world on the subject’s psyche and modelling of this influence in the form of different prolonged psychomotor complexes of suggestive influence, in the East very rigidly formalised and structured the whole system of modelling of natural processes of the objective world and their reflection by the human psyche. The main phenomenon of the objective world, which was ‘subjected’ to thorough analysis and modelling, is the spectrum of emergent changes (SEI) and thesaurus of geophysical characteristics (TGC). Along with harmonically changing continuous phenomena of the physical world (analogue), ancient scientists noticed various geophysical changes jumping, discrete and emergent (‘instantaneous’) changes.
Indeed, it is proved by modern physical sciences – astrophysics, geophysics and nuclear physics – that in nature there is already a phenomenon of jump-like transitions of physical characteristics of certain natural processes; in nuclear physics it is discrete energy levels; in astrophysics it is the phenomenon of pulsations of stars. Similar in its form phenomenon occurs in geophysical fields – geomagnetic field, gravitational field of the Earth, electric field (ionosphere), noospheric field (noosphere) and others. Mathematicians called these processes, in contrast to the known continuous, analogue ones – discrete, jump-like, instantaneous (emergent). It is precisely jump-like changes in various physical characteristics of geophysical fields that have a powerful perturbing effect on the biofields of all living beings and objects of our planet – from single-celled cells and plants to humans. These jump-like violations of the biorhythms of human life (23 days – physical cycle, 25 days – emotional cycle, 33 days – intellectual cycle) are the secret, emergent biorhythms of death (TEBS), and it is this phenomenon of the objective world that was put by the ancients in the basis of ‘eastern’ Suggestopedia and the WARRIOR’S PATH. It is known that the first warrior-bogatyr on Earth was the 26th descendant of Noah’s sons named Nimrod, who built Babylon, Uruk, Akkad and other cities of Mesopotamia – approximately in the middle of the second millennium BC. Bogatyrs are warriors who not only fight and provide safety, survival to the people from encroachment from outside: build cities, create a system of planning on the basis of astronomical observations, in fact the basis of economy of the Ancient World was only agriculture, invent methods of health improvement and accelerated course of education, and all life of the population was directed on survival of the clan, organisation and the state as a whole. Bogatyrs – warriors have appeared on the Earth almost 36 centuries ago, a special role in any society is played by army and priesthood, the last – scientists of the Ancient world – create unique models of our universe and on the basis of these developments build such systems of management, organisation and algorithms of actions which answer always to absolute course of all things on the Earth.
The most rigid management, optimal structure and very effective algorithms we meet in the army, because the army without management, systems of combat training and without prolonged structure dooms itself to death, its state to death, and its people to extinction! In China in the 15th century B.C., when for the first time in East Asia in the valley of the Huanghe River, an army suddenly appeared, which already had an effective system of training troops, consisting of secret 72 stages of accelerated training of warriors. The earliest mention of the methodology of the ‘72nd step’ in Russia we find only in the ‘Book of Veles’, which according to A.I. Asov, its translator, was created in the 9th century by Novgorod priests. Repeatedly we meet examples of using the ideas of the Way of the Warrior in real battles and bloody battles in Russia. In the Russian Empire after the siege of the Trinity Sergius Monastery in 1608 – 1610, the methodology of the ‘72 Warrior Arts’ was successfully applied twice more, the first time – in Peter the Great times, then personally by the outstanding military leader Alexander Vasilievich Suvorov. A.V. Suvorov (1730 – 1800) practised them himself during the Seven Years’ War (1756 – 1763), and by the end of the 18th century he introduced these techniques into the system of training troops. In the army the application of indirect pedagogical influence is still very doubtful, but Suvorov managed to introduce this action at once in the watch – parades under the guise of regular repetition of the statutes. His treatises ‘Regimental Institution’ (72 chapters on thinking and behaviour of soldiers) and ‘The Science of Victory’ (consists of 27 psychotropic parts, the song starts from the 46th and ends with the 72nd step), which are two parts of one methodical manual, not only made it possible to effectively prepare soldiers and officers for military service, but also to significantly increase the survival rate of soldiers – according to statistics dating back to those times, out of every 100 wounded Russian soldiers, up to 30 died, as opposed to 60 foreign soldiers. ‘Today pray, tomorrow study, the day after tomorrow victory or death!’ – Suvorov used to say. In the theory of ‘The Way of the Warrior’, despite its Chinese roots, the Japanese have succeeded the most and not only in this direction – using the rich three-thousand-year experience of Chinese medicine teaching about the system of meridians and biological active points (BAP) located on them, as well as his own long-term scientific and practical experience, Yoshiro Tsutsumi offered an original very effective method of finger exercises that promote health and full vitality of the organism.
GENERAL STRENGTHENING EXERCISES
1. Finger flexion: A) Fold hands with palms at eye height. Inhale through the nose. Slightly lower the fingers of the right hand, simultaneously bending the fingers of the left hand and embracing with them the fingertips of the right hand. Exhale through the mouth. B) Inhaling through the nose, open the fingers of the left hand, simultaneously lift up the right hand and, bending the fingers of the right hand, grasp the fingertips of the left hand. Alternate smooth bending (16 times) with slightly accelerated breathing.
2. Bending of fingers: A) Fold hands with palms in front of the chest. Breathing is normal, alternating inhalation and exhalation. Leaving the hands in the same position ‘spread’ the fingers and separate the hands. Then press the fingers of both hands against each other, making a quick exhalation through the mouth. Then inhale, separating the fingers and leaving only their tips pressed together. B) Point the fingertips towards yourself, pressing them against each other, repeat flexing the fingers and separating them (10 times). Breathing rhythmic, fingers flexed to failure.
3. Flexion and extension of fingers: A) Raise hands with palms to the face. B) Bend all fingers one by one, starting from the thumb of the right hand, slowly inhale through the nose. C) After bending all ten fingers, exhale through the mouth, open the fingers in the reverse order, starting with the thumb of the left hand. The exercise should be repeated 10 -12 times, carefully bending and unbending each finger.
4. Circular movements with walnuts: A) Holding walnuts (one or two) between the palms of your hands, make circular movements with them pressing them to the palms of your hands. B) Repeat circular movements with walnuts on the back of one hand, pressing them with the other hand. C) Make circular movements with two nuts in each palm at the same time (clockwise in the right hand and clockwise in the left hand). These exercises always contribute to calming down, quick reduction of irritability and as a consequence – reliable relief from various stressful influences.
EXERCISES TO IMPROVE MEMORY
1. Pressing with fingertips: A) Put thumb and index finger tips together and press them with force to each other. The same exercise should be done for the thumb and middle finger, thumb and ring finger, thumb and little finger, making sure that the other fingers are as straight and tense as possible. B) Press the tip of the thumb firmly on the base of each subsequent finger. This exercise should be repeated 15-20 times for each hand.
2. Straightened finger movements: A) Raise the hands to chest level and turn them palms facing each other. Extending the fingers to the limit and taking them as far away from each other as possible, starting from the little finger, alternately bring the fingers closer to the palm, even without bending them in the joints of the phalanges. Wavy movements from the little finger to the thumb and again to the little finger should be performed symmetrically with both hands. Do not hold your breath – repeat the exercise 15-20 times. B) Symmetrical fingers of both hands are connected by their tips, and elbows are set aside to the sides. Spread straightened fingers with effort, slowly bring palms close to each other, then return to the starting position relaxing fingers – breathing is arbitrary, repeat 15-20 times.
EXERCISE TO INCREASE ATTENTIVENESS
To the base of the little finger of the left hand, slightly clenched into a fist, bring the fingertips of the right palm. In the next moment clench the fingers of the right hand into a fist, and bring the fingertips of the left hand to the base of the little finger of the right hand. Repeat these movements quickly 10 times with each hand – when changing hands it is necessary to exhale through the mouth.
EXERCISES TO STRENGTHEN THE WILL
1. Alternate slow deep breaths with exhalation, tensing strongly abdominal wall – repeat these movements with concentrated 10 – 15 times in statics (standing) and in dynamics (movements forward and backward, left and right) with return to the starting point.
2. Massage BAT, located along the meridian of lungs (it is believed that this meridian, associated with breathing, clearly reflects the strength of character). The same point in the Chinese version is called ‘shao-shan’ (young merchant) and is located 3 mm to the outside of the corner of the nail bed of the thumb. To strengthen the will, thoroughly massage, irritate both sides of the thumb of the left hand with the thumb and index finger of the right hand, and then carry out a similar massage of the thumb of the right hand, this exercise is repeated 3 times for 2 minutes for each finger.
3- Massage the base of the thumb (the eminence of each hand) with the thumb of the other hand for 1 minute. Daily repetition of this simple exercise greatly strengthens the will and makes the character more firm, purposeful, harmonious.
4. Open the palm of the left hand and lightly press the point of concentration of attention (‘lao-gong’), located in the middle of the palm, with the thumb of the right hand. When pressing, exhale, and when the effort is weakened, inhale calmly. This exercise is repeated 5 times for each hand.
EXERCISES FOR PRESERVING PEACE OF MIND
If you are agitated by some home or business troubles, or you have to make a presentation at a conference, or an exam with a strict teacher, then exercises with nuts or other objects with a round but uneven surface will help you find peace of mind and focus. The following exercises can be used with success for this purpose.
1. Circular movements with two nuts in each palm.
2. Place a nut on the palm surface of one hand on the little finger side and with the palm of the other hand press lightly and make circular movements with the nut for 3 minutes. If there are no nuts at hand, you can do the following exercises. 3.
3. perform a fine massage of the tip of the little finger for 2 minutes.
4. Massage the point of concentration, 8-10 times for each hand.
5. Immediately before the responsible performance, clench fingers into a fist with the thumb bent inwards and making a calm exhalation clench the fist with effort, then weaken the effort and make an inhalation. If this exercise is performed with closed eyes, the effect increases – perform 5-7 times.
EXERCISES TO RELIEVE TENSION AND RELAXATION
1. Massage the little finger on both hands, where at the inner edge of the nail bed (3 mm above the corner of the nail) is a point belonging to the meridian of the heart. Massage for each little finger for 2 minutes.
2. Raise your hands above your head, hook them with your fingertips and alternately pull them to the right and left sides, accompanied by tilts of the torso in the corresponding direction. Perform the exercise 3-5 times.
EXERCISES FOR FAST FALLING ASLEEP
Insomnia is a typical disease of modern times and it usually affects people of mental labour. Now insomnia is often called ‘the disease of managers’, that is, people experiencing high psycho-emotional stress. Overcome sleep disturbance will help to overcome the following very effective exercises.
1. A stick, 70-80 cm long and 20 mm in diameter, should be applied to the back of the head and rolled up and down with the palms of the hands, while it is necessary to simultaneously make head tilts forward and backward, to the right and to the left, thus increasing the effective irritation of the back of the head. Exercise should be done for 30-40 seconds.
2. Flexion and extension of the foot lying in bed with alternation of combined breathing – inhalation, exhalation and breath holding for 10-15 seconds. The exercise should be done 20-30 times for each foot.
3. massage of symmetrically located points, which in the Japanese version are called ‘tentu’, and in Chinese ‘tan-chzhu’. The Russian translation is ‘heavenly column’. This point is located at the back of the head just above the hairline by 2 cm. Start the massage under the ears with the pads of the thumbs of the hands simultaneously from both sides, going towards each other. Breathe calmly while moving your elbows forwards and backwards. Repeat the exercise 15 times.
4. Massage of the earlobe in the centre, and the massage is carried out with two fingers: the thumb at the back, the middle or index finger slowly stroking the earlobe from the front without pressure.
5. The given exercises will help you to become more strong-willed, collected, energetic, organised, businesslike, if necessary will help you to relieve tension and calm down, reduce the time of recreation and rehabilitation after injuries in extreme conditions of life activity and environment.
